Experience Southeast Asia at the Musical Instrument Museum

This June, the Musical Instrument Museum is hosting a vibrant journey through the music and culture of Southeast Asia! Come explore the sounds of the region through traditional instruments and captivating performances. 

During the Musical Instrument Museum's Explore Southeast Asia event, you can enjoy curator talks, traditional dances, live performances, and more. The variety of activities is amazing! 

Events on Saturday, June 8:

  • Film Screening: Bali: Beats of Paradise (12:30–1:30pm) 
  • Workshop: Thai Flower Dance (2:30–3:00pm)
  • Performance: Thai Flower Dance (3:30–4:00pm)

Events on Sunday, June 9:

  • Performance: Lion Dance Opening (1:00–1:15pm)
  • Performance: Cultural Fashion Show (1:15–1:45pm)
  • Performance: Binasuan Filipino Folk Dance (2:30–2:45pm)
  • Performance: Salip and Banga Dance (2:45–3:15pm)
  • Performance: Dok Champa Lao Dance (3:15–3:30pm)
  • Performance: Trống Cơm Dance (3:30–4:00pm)

  • Gallery Tour: Southeast Asia (11:30–11:45am)
  • Pop-Up Performance: The Sound of Ðàn Tranh (12:15–12:30pm)
  • Pop-Up Performance: Rojak Jam (1:45–2:00pm)
